Heroes Meet Heroes

Join Veterans Advantage and Northrup Grumman at “Heroes Meet Heroes,” a free Veterans Week NYC event that brings together our U.S. active duty military, veterans and their guests with our U.S. Olympians. Guests have the opportunity to meet U.S. Olympic athletes, enjoy unlimited refreshments and watch Sunday afternoon football with their fellow military service persons. This year’s guest speakers will be Paul W. Bucha, Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, and Cedric Jones, athletic director of the New York Athletic Club and former NFL star.

The event will be held in the historic New York Athletic Club (NYAC), located at the south end of Central Park (58th Street) at 7th Avenue, on Nov. 15, 2015 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Veterans Favorite Poem Project

Veterans and their families and friends are invited to bring a copy of their favorite poem (not self-written) to read and share at a community poetry reading held at the Walt Whitman Birthplace on November 13, 2pm. Share what makes it special to you. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
